The human force

Agenda. Wake up at 4:30am. Eat a banana with a piece of toast. Wait for the train. Swim. change. Head to work. Work. To the gym. Run 2x5k at zone 3 HR. Throw yourself on your bed. Did I train hard today?

Does all that sound weird? Most likely not. There are only two reasons you would be reading this. One you are a triathlete, and second you are interested in becoming one. Maybe it was the Ironman world championship video on youtube with that cool music that made you seek into this world of "Triathlon." Might have been that guy in the pool with a cool swim cap that says "IRONMAN."

Whatever the reason you are reading this you desire to become a stronger person.  Mentally. Physically. You want to be faster. You want to look sexy. You want to beat that guy that passed you on race day. Or you are just tired of your lifestyle and want to have some excitement.

Before you step into the doorway there is one thing you have to do. Prepare yourself. Prepare your body. Prepare your mind. A lawyer cannot treat patients at a hospital, and as we ourselves cannot jump into a sport without being prepped up for it. You must train your body. Don't forget your mind. Riding your bike on a trainer for 3 hours is mentally taxing.

What is the secret to The Human Force? Your core muscles.

In triathlon you must swim, bike, and then run. What does all these three sports have in common? They are sports that move the body from point A to point B. And we all want to get to point B faster. The way to achieve this without running an extra 5 miles per week or adding 2km on your swim is by having a strong core.

Yeah! I know you have read this in a million magazines, books, and lectures. But seriously how many of your actually do core work. I know you have heard of the famous "plank" exercise. Such a simple exercise and yet it tortures us all.
With a stronger core we will get faster and stronger.

The core is the Human driving force of our body. You might think "well what the heck is the core? abs? does that mean i need a six pack?" The core consist of your hip, abdominal, and lower back muscles. These muscles won't give you a six pack but will drop your PR in any distance and event.  These muscles help stabilize your spine and in turn your whole body.

So guys lets work on our core together, let us get stronger and faster without putting more stress on our bodies. Make your CORE2TRI

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook, we will soon be holding classes in New York City. Check our website and stay up to date. Keep training
